About IEER
The Institute of Earthquake Engineering Research (IEER) was established in 1999 as a research center named Earthquake Engineering Research Center (EERC). In 2012, the EERC was converted into IEER. The major aim of the institution is to promote and provide facilities for advanced studies and research at postgraduate levels in the field of Earthquake Engineering and also to conduct training on advanced topics on earthquake engineering, earthquake resisting design & construction, to create awareness activities among engineers, architects, planners, policy makers and people who are using civil infrastructures in Bangladesh. The institute has faculty with domain expertise in Earthquake Engineering and Seismology.
