About DEE
The Department of Disaster and Environmental Engineering (DEE) aims at continuing education and research for sustainable development of Bangladesh. Since 2010, DEE has started to promote facilities for advanced studies and research at postgraduate levels in the field of Disaster and Environmental Engineering. A comprehensive course development for "training the trainers" is one of the most important steps followed at DEE. The Master's program of DEE is tailored to be compatible with international standards and also with the requirements in Bangladesh. Graduates of DEE become fully prepared to act against the challenges of disasters at levels comparable in developed countries being aware about the local adaptations of risk mitigation measures.
